Music has been a constant through much of my life, expressed most fully through organ and piano, church music leadership, choral direction, and work in musical theatre. Across each setting, I value thoughtful preparation, respect for the music, attentiveness to the people making it, and the shared experience a performance creates.
My church work has ranged from weekly worship and congregational song to choral leadership, special services, and concerts. Musical theatre brought different demands—pacing, collaboration, storytelling, and flexibility—and remains an important part of how I understand ensemble music-making.
