Start with the process. Understand the whole.

I’m naturally drawn to examining how things work: where information comes from, how people and processes fit together, what creates friction, and what could be clearer or more effective.

That way of thinking drew me to Industrial Engineering and still guides how I approach data, applications, and technology today. I try to understand the process and its constraints first, consider the alternatives, and then choose or build the tools that best fit the problem.

Helping people plan and decide.

My role within strategic planning has largely been to enable planning rather than perform the planning itself. I build tools, models, workflows, and analytics that give planners and leaders clearer information and better visibility into the work.

My contribution is the decision-support environment around the planning process: understanding what people need, organizing the underlying data and logic, and creating practical systems that help them evaluate options and make informed decisions.

From idea to working solution.

Much of my work has been carried as an individual contributor with end-to-end ownership. I often help identify or shape the opportunity, work directly with the people who understand and use the process, and then carry the solution through data design, application development, implementation, refinement, and ongoing support. That work has ranged from data structures and analytical models to dashboards, reporting environments, automation, and full operational web applications.

Independence is grounded in collaboration. I work closely with planners, analysts, leaders, subject-matter experts, and end users to understand the need, test assumptions, gather feedback, and improve the result. My role has often been to bring those perspectives together into a coherent solution and remain accountable for making it work.

Connecting people with the work.

Some of the solutions I value most began with needs that were never formally defined as requirements. I’ve created tools to help people communicate accomplishments, connect their work to broader goals, recognize one another, organize projects and tasks, and build a clearer record of their contributions over time.

I see technology as more than a way to process data or automate a workflow. Done well, it can give people better visibility, a stronger voice, and a clearer connection to the work around them.
